I’m writing to you from my new desk which I purchased on Facebook marketplace from an interiors TikToker. It is a gorgeous Eames Modernica desk that is massive and perfect. I plan on getting rid of our TV (TV’s are so ugly and should be outlawed) and purchasing a projector soon. I got some archiving boxes from Choosing Keeping to put all our miscellaneous paper goods, love letters, etc. The chartreuse Eames chair is a nice addition, too.

Cody Parks kindly made me some desk accessories as well as a business card. I can’t wait to give it to everyone I meet this summer. I have 3 note pads on my desk right now, all different sizes, and all too small for the amount of things I jot down each day. This custom 8.5x11 one from Etsy should be the perfect fix.
Yesterday I was driving out of my neighborhood onto Highland Avenue and “King of Rome” by the Pet Shop Boys was playing. Next to me, the middle aged HOLLYWOOD TOURS tour guide announced to his passengers over the loudspeaker “that’s the 101 freeway to the right”. That’s right. The 101 Freeway. Tourist destination. As I merged South I noticed my nose burning like I was about to cry. I noticed my under arms perspiring and I knew that it was real, that Los Angeles, Hollywood in particular, is a state of mind. I know that each time I reach Melrose Normandie exists or even sometimes as soon as Western I’ll have to pump my brakes. I know that there’s always traffic no matter what day of the week it is starting at around 3pm. I know to not take Franklin Avenue past 4 o’clock.
It seems to me that theatre is coming back with a vengeance in New York City, for better or worse. Last week I saw a post from an actor putting on a play in the Lower East Side with the caption “...unfortunately the tickets are sold out but please know that New York Theater is alive and well…thx 2 us clouted up motherfuckers”. The actor in question has almost 20k followers. I wonder if he knows who George Bernard Shaw is! I asked my astrologer about the resurgence of theatre because I have been noticing an excitement around the art form from downtown types. She said this—
Have been doing lots of personal style research lately and found myself looking at a Chloe 2002 show on First View. Here’s an amazing photo of Phoebe Philo backstage. My kind of woman. Plus Anna and Grace front row:
I found a top from the collection and will be wearing it to an event later this week. I really feel I am a Chloe girl at heart and especially after going down an AI rabbit hole to find out my color analysis and finding that I am a soft summer. Hope this is not too niche
Perfect photo of Uma Thurman front row at Helmut Lang in 2001.
Kathleen graciously sent me this Scavullo on Beauty book which I received unexpectedly in the mail last week. I’m looking for the perfect book to send back to her. I believe what prompted her to send it was my sharing the Easy Riders, Raging Bulls (2003) documentary which you can watch in full here on YouTube (rare). The thumbnail is Faye Dunaway’s face card in Bonnie and Clyde (1967) who has a fab interview in this book along with Miss Tatum O’Neill, Barbara Streisand, Gerry Hall, and Ali McGraw.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Diane Arbus show at David Zwiner that is on until June 21. The best part was reading all the writing on the wall.
I recommend the Masters of Photography documentary from 1972- another (!!) in full on YouTube showing.
Lastly, I would recommend drinking a small glass of milk in the evening.
Babe that's hot Stationary
Can’t wait to see you in Phoebe’s Chloé! My favourite era everrrr.
